best place to eat in Kuala Lumpur

A Vegetarian’s Guide to Kuala Lumpur: Hidden Gems & Authentic Eats I lived in Kuala Lumpur for two years, and during my time there, I discovered that the best food often isn't found in the typical tourist traps. If you are a vegetarian—or just someone who appreciates authentic flavors—this guide is for you. Here is a breakdown of my favorite, non-touristy spots to grab affordable and delicious vegetarian food in KL. 1. City One Plaza / City Mall Area (Masjid India) The Spot: Lahore Foods (2nd Floor) This is a hidden gem for authentic Pakistani food. The Vibe: It’s a mixed environment (they serve meat), but if you are comfortable dining with non-vegetarians, it is worth the visit. Best Time to Go: Mornings. What to Order: Not really , it's a bufe of unlimited Chole and halwa ,  The Halwa Puri breakfast. It usually comes with Chana (chickpeas) and Halwa.Try Curd with sugar , there Price: Extremely cheap—around 2 Ringgit per paratha., Alu Paratha...

Five things to avoid in Abu Dhabi (UAE)

This might be useful to give some information about things to avoid during the stay in Abu Dhabi . 1. Summar months from May to October, especially July-August: - Nothing can make you better if you must come out of the Air conditioning environment even for 5 minutes. Most of time you must come out if you don’t own a car and it felt like a hell for the punishment of your past birt's sins, you don’t believe me, you will feel it literally.  2. Buy Postpaid plan of the government company Etisalat , very poor network not only for data but for normal mobile calls and moreover you must pay one-month extra charges if you want to get out of the contract. 3. Buy anything online while fully paid e.g.from DG Sharaf : I had a bad experience from DG Sharaf digital store regarding the order home delivery, and I think it might be common for all the home delivery if you have already paid, may be except Amazone.ae (I found the same item on cheaper rate from there). 4. Taking public transport (Buse...

How to sale motorcycle in Malaysia

I have been thinking that I should write a blog regarding selling of motorcycle as I have written a blog how to buy motorcycle in Malaysia. Actually it's very simple process and because I didn't know the process, I was very concerned how is it going to be happen. First of all I contacted the dealer from where I had bought the motorcycle because he had told me that he will buy it back within 1 year at a good price. I bought this motorcycle at 7000 MYR and he said that they would buy it back at around 5000. But when I went back to the dealer, the person I spoke to was nowhere to be found and some Chinese origin lady was there in his place. They inspected my bike and other things, i.e.  my papers etc. My bike had run 11500 kms and it was 1 year and 3 month old. They offer me a price of 4000. Anyway, after one week, when I had finished all my works, I went back to them and lady told me they will give me only 3000. I was furious about how they can deny on their own words. I went to ...

Interesting Slogans on the back of Trucks ( A dying Art)

Some interesting slogans that I captured from the trucks (another dying art). (This picture I have been seeing since my childhood, " the lady waiting for him (the truck driver) " तुम कब आओगे " another illusion of mind to make yourself is happy is that " she is waiting for you" । That give you strength to cover more miles . This one is my favourites. How Modi put all on work , boost their Ego, he is master in this art , anyway it was good for all at that time. It should be _ चलता फिरता दवाखाना not फिरता दवाखाना , but it's ok as it was in महाराष्ट्र  This like of " समय से पहले और भाग्य से ज्यादा कभी नही मिलता " is also very old but I liked the below one " वो कोन थी जो मुस्कुरा के चली गई" , अरे भाई तुझे धोखा हुआ है , यहा वहा कोई नही थी ही नहीं।  And this one is last one. Lots of them.

Trips after Lockdown during CORONA

Trip to north east of India via UP and Bihar after the Lockdown  The tour can be divided in 4 parts based on the scenery change- 1. Traffic Jam, bad roads and Villages of UP and Bihar . 2. Beautiful Darjeeling. 3. Lush Green Assam and Meghalaya and  4. Bodh city - Kushinagar. 1. Traffic Jam, bad roads and Villages of UP and Bihar . When lockdown had been removed from the most part of the country, I decided to go for a tour with my car as I was so bored staying at home for so long. I stayed in Noida for two days, thinking where to go and than decided to go towards Northeast as I had never been there before. I started towards Lucknow via Delhi and Agra. This new highway from Agar to Lucknow was really great and I covered 300 km in 3 hours (and I guess I was the slowest one on the road following the 120 kmph speed limit). After reaching Lucknow, I didn't want to stay there at night as it's a big city and putting the car inside a city mess is horrible. So I moved forward in my jou...

TRIP summary of Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia Driving tour

Click on the Picture above for the google map link. I'm a bit late to write this blog but I think that's a good thing because now the mind has settled down with the trip adventure and one can write not with much enthusiasm but with specific details about the journey. I drove around 7000 km in this trip. It was 2500 km in Malaysia which you can read in more detail in my Malaysia trip blog ,  around 3500 km in Thailand and another one thousand kilometer in Cambodia. As I can summarize that Malaysia is much more developed than Thailand which is more developed than Cambodia and so was the condition of the roads. In Cambodia it's left hand side driving while in Malaysia and Thailand it is right hand driving. Malaysia to Thailand border crossing was quite easy as I checked-in. The Thailand police was very  professional and tourist friendly. Malaysia border police was also okay. I bought Bike Insurance for Thailand in Malaysia border town and as usual I did not carry all the paper...

Driving in Cambodia

Sieam Reap Temple   When I was Denied Land Entry at Mayanmar border from Thailand earlier and then at Laos-Thailand border too, I got frustrated. But since I had Cambodia e-visa,  I thought I should give a try and enter Cambodia from Thailand. (Reason of denial for Myanmar:- No land crossing for foreign passport holder since 15 May 2023 and for Laos:- I can enter but no bike allowed without written permission for less then 350 CC engine capacity. They showed me some permission letter examples to contact for permission, I am sharing below if anyone need) Cambodia visa can be applied online and usually it comes within three days (So was Laos Visa, which came on second day). In Cambodia e-visa, they clearly mention that ports of the entry for the e-visa is valid. So that's a good thing. I checked that Krong Poi Pet entry was on the list. I drove 550 kilometers to Poi pet Land border from Thailand-Laos border (Nong Khai, wonderful town, I will write in Thailand blog) M...

Driving in Malaysia

This is approximate route of my driving in Malaysia about 1500 Km  Google Map For Kualalumpur, here is the Kuala Lumpur Tourist Guide map and Metro system Map guide  Link I started from Kuala Lumpur and stayed first night at Seremban which is around 80 km from Kuala Lumpur. It seemed to me a historical City and like all the other Malaysian cities, there are same typical colonial time buildings that confirm the downtown of the city.  Seremban city street view  I stayed in variety of places like downtown of the big city, small  towns/villages and on Highway motels during my driving in the Malaysia. Only avoiding tourist places because I think Tourist places are mostly artificial. They just want to show what they want to show and you do not see what is the reality as a life of a common man. Anyway the benefit of this also is that normal places are quite cheaper in every terms like food, stay or even any other services. City Entrance or Muar Hotel...

Driving in UAE (United Arab Emirates)

I drove in UAE when I was traveling on my silk route tour in 2017. I reached Sharjah (Near Dubai) by ship from Bandar Abbas, Iran and it took me a full day to get clearance from the Customs for my bike.  In that process, overall I understood that basically I am importing the Bike into the UAE and it costs total 175 Dirham as a custom fee, out of which some value ( About 25 Dirham) is refundable if I take out my bike from country within a certain period of time (and I was sure that I am not going to come to this office again for such a small amount of Refund). I was happy that this port was operated (Workers) mostly by South Indians and I was so relaxed, happy to see 'My people' after landing from the ship and I was not in a hurry to finish the formalities for bike clearance and get out from this port. I told the guy 'Ramanathan' " Sir, I am not in hurry. I need to eat first. Please tell me where to get 'Food' and later we will start again with procedures fo...

Visit to Neemuch (Nimuch), MP, India

Everyone says Neemuch but Railway station signboard says "Nimuch". I don't know which one is correct but coming to a Grade C city is such a peace. It's like I went to my childhood, 30 years back in time. I am staying, I guess, most costly hotel and it's Rs. 1000 per day. Agoda says Rs. 1400 per day for me as their VIP customer but I got lucky. Booking did not reach to the hotel and when I reached the hotel, we started on Hotel tag price of Rs. 1299 per day.  Railway station nearby is people-less, but markets are full as expected from a grade C city, which is on my comfortable level of crowd, just like any other A-grade city was 30 years ago. Food is so cheap and in good quality. You just need to identify the correct one (A little farther from bust stand or railway station, should have decent crowd compare to other shop and as per the time of the day, and no fancy decoration is my identification marks for a tasty food shop, " Food shops cant fool locals , so f...
