I have been thinking that I should write a blog regarding selling of motorcycle as I have written a blog how to buy motorcycle in Malaysia. Actually it's very simple process and because I didn't know the process, I was very concerned how is it going to be happen.
First of all I contacted the dealer from where I had bought the motorcycle because he had told me that he will buy it back within 1 year at a good price. I bought this motorcycle at 7000 MYR and he said that they would buy it back at around 5000. But when I went back to the dealer, the person I spoke to was nowhere to be found and some Chinese origin lady was there in his place. They inspected my bike and other things, i.e. my papers etc. My bike had run 11500 kms and it was 1 year and 3 month old. They offer me a price of 4000.
Anyway, after one week, when I had finished all my works, I went back to them and lady told me they will give me only 3000. I was furious about how they can deny on their own words.
I went to other dealers because I was very lazy and I didn't want to try on the internet. My friends suggested me mudah.com but I was not interested. So I went to other local dealers. One offered only 1800. I was very disappointed. I thought they won't give me much. Actually money was not a matter for me. I just wanted to get rid of this liability with the minimum effort because I was leaving the country. So yeah, here is the thing which I want to share with you that how the bike is transferred. So I finally got a deal at the price of 3500 with another Chinese dealer.
I had to go to JPJ Wangsa Maju. It was the nearest one. I went to the second floor gate number 2 and showed the paper and just told him that buyer is not coming.
At the JPJ, the receptionist gave me a form. I told that it's been already given to me by the dealer. I submitted my form along with a passport copy and I think the buyer copy by national ID card copy. I waited for 10 minute for my turn. I went there, gave my fingerprint on the page and its Done. The whole procedure took just 5 minutes.
I faced all the difficulties and worries because I didn't know anything in the beginning and I was a bit confused. And that's why I was concerned and didn't try other places. For this reason I wanted to write this blog to share that it's a very easy process in Malaysia. Moreover this is a free of cost process.
Good Bye Malaysia ( For Now )
