Driving in South America: Part 1 [Starting from Brazil]

I toured the continent of South America in 2016 from March to August. Seeds of my journey were planted in year 2007 when my super boss, a Brazilian himself,  heard my  travel story of motorcycling from Kharagpur (West Bengal) to Jaipur (Rajasthan) India (in 2006 after my Post graduation). It was a Department selection interview in my company and our directors was assessing all the trainee and after listening to my long travel of about 2000 km, he suggested me to read the book "The Motorcycle diaries" by Che Guevara. I purchased the book and read first two pages and decided "I am not gonna read this book , I am gonna live it.". Yes the ' Desi-Che-Guevera' style you may  say :) The book remained with me for ten years and reminded me, every time I saw it, of my self commitment to tour the Latin America. Driving in Thailand On a "Bit'kan'nee' (70 CC Scooter)

In 2014, I travelled Thailand after losing many important things in my life all together. It looks so funny thinking about that now but it was all gloomy at that time. I had hit a bottom and as they say one should travel Thailand to come out of gloom.  My driving Map I booked the cheapest available return flight for Bangkok from Delhi with IndiGo airlines (No free food inside the flight) and if one have to buy something inside the flight, they have to pay in dollars ($) at that time. I started flying with kingfisher in 2007 and then it stopped for about 5 years and now everything changed in aviation sector (so much chindi chori has started, are we developing or degrading in terms of life comforts?). Motorcycle driving tour in India

Just biking,  Delhi to Kanyakumari and back till Jaipur via Lucknow, Ranchi, Vizag, Chennai and Mumbai.   (Note : Just biking does not allow to visit any touristic place, roam-around in city or do any other touristic activity  😆 , it’s Just you, highway and trucks , A lots of trucks 😝 )   My Map     Trip Summary:  Approx. 6900 Km and 33 Days    Total Expenses 600 $ for 33 days (20 USD per day)   Cost Break up:   Fuel: 300 $ (Bike fuel economy: 35 km / liter, Thunderbird 350CC)   Hotel / Stay : 120 $,  Food: 70 $,  Other Expenses:  110   $,  Bike Maintenance  : 20 $   (Food bill is usually between 0.5 $ to 1.5 $ at roadside Restaurants (Dhaba).
